Finally, a powder ski you can daily drive on the East coast. The tapered tip and tail, aggressive rocker in the tip and tail, and mix of soft flex at the extremities with a solid platform underfoot add up to a ski that can hold up to the rigors of making it from stash to stash a week after the last snow. The aggressive rocker keeps contact length short and turning easy, encouraging most skiers to choose a longer length than they are accustomed to. The tapered tips and tails ensure these skis won’t get hung up in chopped up snow, and the big rockered tip lets you ski powder in a more aggressive fashion than ever before. New for 2012 is a core and edge designed to lighten the tip and tail and make these skis even quicker in tight places. Also new is a more subdued graphic from Will Barras.

What We Think
The S7 is the kind of ski that you don’t need to “learn” to use. You just strap it on and ski better. Rossi really found the sweet spot of camber, sidecut, and flex. If I could only own one pair of skis, it’d be these. Have no qualms about taking these out when the “snow” is rock hard: you can carve around like you aren’t wearing a big pair of clown shoes.
