The Super 7 is everything that’s great about the S7, faster. By incorporating race-ski like Titanal sheets in the laminated wood core, the Super 7 can charge harder and faster on hard and chopped up snow without losing grip. With a tapered, rockered tip and tail and camber and sidecut underfoot, the Sevens are powder skis you can rip around on days after a storm. The short contact length makes the long lengths much more manageable and fun than traditionally cambered powder skis. The aggressive tip rocker lets you really push the skis without diving the tips in deep fluff. New for 2012 is a version of the Super 7 in the shorter and lighter 188 length: perfect for skiers that the 195 is just too large for. The Super 7 also features a full color version of the Will Barras graphic that is displayed in muted matte form on the S7

What We Think
Rockered skis have been around for a decade now, but until recently they’ve been a real hassle on anything but soft snow. By centering the sidecut and stiffening up the cambered area underfoot, Rossi was able to make this ski hold up on hard snow without sacrificing the excellent deep snow and crud performance of a fully rockered ski. My favorite aspect: the aggressive tip rocker makes this ski float as well as many 110-120mm skis from a couple years ago.
